Hello GRFA readers. First and foremost, we want to offer our condolences to all of the families affected by this terrible tragedy. Unfortunately, no one is prepared to deal with such a horrific event. Especially one where so many innocent lives were taken, leaving grieving families forever scarred by the events that took place July 20th, 2012.
For reasons yet to be determined, a 24 year old man by the name of “James Holmes” made the decision to storm in to a packed showing of the latest Batman movie named “Dark Night Rises” and proceeded to indiscriminately fire in to the crowd of moviegoers, killing 12, and wounding at least 50 others. While this article is being constructed, many of the victims still lie in the hospital. According to officials, the shooter was armed with an assault rifle and 2 handguns. With hair dyed orange, and offering deranged looks as the judge proceeded to give this dirt-bag instructions, Holmes made his first appearance in court today.
Before the analysts, investigators, psychiatrists, and dozens of law enforcement officials attempt to dive in to this disturbed man’s head, let’s make one very apparent point perfectly clear. The methods and means that this man went through in order to carry out his gruesome task were calculated, most definitely premeditated, and took careful planning on his part. It’s for these reasons alone that this scumbag should be shown no mercy or treatment different than any other piece of human trash with no respect for human life that litter the streets of this planet. Why do we use the word “planet” you ask? We believe that when a person like this loses his/her grip on reality, as this man most certainly has, it can happen anywhere, in any corner of the globe, and at any time. So for those who may think that Americans are the only people capable of such horrific deeds, all you need do is read some of the worldwide news and you will quickly realize that this is not a tragedy reserved for “Americans” only. There are people on the verge of mental collapse in all corners of the earth.
Before we go any further, we would like to honor the victims by listing each of them, and a little bit about who they were/are.

We at GRFA are terribly saddened by this event. We only wish we could find the words to comfort those relatives and friends of the above victims. We will pray for all of you, and may God be with you during such a hard time. Having lost a loved one, there’s nothing in this world that can offer relief from this but time. We wish all of you the very best during this time of healing.
As for James Holmes, whether or not we discover what his sick motivation was to carry out this horrible act, nothing can bring comfort to the loved ones who’ve suffered so greatly as a result. We will never forget, and our thoughts and prayers go out to all that were affected.
As firm believers in the Second Amendment, I feel compelled to offer a quote made by Charlton Heston while president of the NRA. “There’s no such thing as a good gun. There’s no such thing as a bad gun. A gun in the hands of a bad man is a very dangerous thing. A gun in the hands of a good person is no danger to anyone except the bad guys.” The Second Amendment will no doubt come under attack as a result of this terrible tragedy. But as with prohibition, if guns were made illegal, criminals would most definitely have them. While those of us who try to live by the law would be unprotected and even more vulnerable to attack by criminals. Before I begin rambling like a Southern Baptist Preacher on a Easter Sunday, I leave you with one last quote by one of our most influential founding fathers. You may have heard of him, his name was Thomas Jefferson. “No man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.” Please remember the old saying that still holds true today, “guns don’t kill people, people kill people.” Even if guns were removed from society, the James Holmes’s of the world would find a way to carry out their horrific crimes against the innocent.
