When you think about a youngster’s birthday party, usually you don’t think about holding it at a shooting range. In Lewisville Texas a new range owner is doing just that! Lewisville is on the outskirts of Dallas, with this range being built as a state-of-the-art indoor facility boasting 17,000 square feet and 24 individual shooting lanes. “Eagle Gun Range” is being constructed by Mr. David Prince, with his Gun Range doing great things by promoting experts and novice shooters alike.
Mr. Prince believes that hosting birthday parties is a great way to introduce young people how to safely handle and shoot firearms. This is most definitely one of those stories that will stir up controversy among those in favor of restricting firearms.
As with any education, tangible or intangible, ignorance is our biggest enemy. For some reason, we humans have a big tendency to fear the unknown or change. Most of this fear is rooted in ignorance. Ironically, once the ignorance factor is addressed, you often hear the freshly educated doing a complete 180 on the subject, regardless the topic. It’s for this reason we firmly believe in educating our youngsters as soon as they’re able to understand and adhere to the many unwritten rules that apply to handling firearms properly.
